“Typography is a unique art that focuses on the appearance of printed matter. Katyare has deliberately kept the content (words) same and only changed the style of presentation so that the viewers would understand the change easily. The exhibition has at least 40 plates showing the different styles of writing during different time. “Writing material, writing platforms and writing purposes were changed along with the time and that was reflected in writing styles,” said Katyare.
A retired teacher, Katyare has a degree in education and a diploma in arts but, his special interest has been the study of fonts and how the writing styles was changed along with the time.
